Our approach
Why RotorMix exists
About RotorMix
RotorMix is developing a digital DJ controller for DJs, turntablists, producers, and electronic musicians who want the tactile experience of vinyl without surrendering the flexibility of software.
The idea
Traditional turntables deliver direct mechanical interaction, but a complete setup is expensive, bulky, and fragmented. Compact controllers travel well, yet conventional jog wheels rarely feel like manipulating a record. RotorMix is built to bridge that gap.
The platform
The first RotorMix development platform centers on two independently motorized, vinyl-style platters with position sensing, acceleration and braking behavior, plus a familiar two-channel mixer layout. It is designed for scratching, cueing by hand, pitch control, blending, EQ, and essential transport control.
Built to evolve
We are pursuing a repairable architecture based on accessible components and open software integration. Over time, RotorMix can grow into an ecosystem of refined controllers, replacement parts, upgrades, mappings, accessories, and community-led modifications.
The proposition is simple: the physical experience of two turntables and a mixer, built natively for digital music.
